Holy cow! The Cubs swept Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets, winning 10-3 and 10-5 behind a great day from Dansby Swanson (5-for-9, two homers, 11 RBI) and the bullpen (7.2 innings of one-run ball).
Swanson hit a grand slam in the 8th inning of the opener to put the game out of reach and went 3-for-5 in the nightcap. He now leads the North Siders in RBI for the season.
The series wraps up in New York on Thursday before the Cubs head to Milwaukee for a three-game weekend set against the NL Central leading Brewers.
