Holy cow! The Cubs downed the Halos 7-2 on Monday behind a quality start from Edward Cabrera (6 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 5 K), Ian Happ's third HR of the year, and two RBI apiece from Carson Kelly and Moises Ballesteros.
Happ's homer was his third in three games, and he's sporting a 1.081 OPS through the North Siders' first four games. Nico Hoerner also swiped his third bag of the season, but it was Cabrera's performance that paced the Cubs, as he allowed just two baserunners in his six innings of work.
The series continues Tuesday at Wrigley. 4 games down, 158 to go.
Go Cubs go!
